Milpaws is proud to be a member of the National Association for Hose and Accessories Distributors (NAHAD) Hose Safety Institute. But what exactly does our membership mean for you, the customer?
Most important, it means we follow industry consensus best practices to ensure the safest, highest quality, most reliable hose assemblies. “Industry consensus best practices” is key because it's not just Milpaws telling you the right way to do things, it’s the industry as represented by NAHAD that’s doing the talking.
These best practices are all outlined in a members-only Hose Assembly Guidelines Handbook representing significant industry experience on what works, what doesn’t, and why when it comes to quality hose assemblies.
These guidelines feature Chapters on industrial, hydraulic, composite, fluoropolymer and corrugated metal hose assemblies.
They also offer guidance on
- Design & specification
- Testing
- Shipping & handling
- Quality
- And much more…
As part of our membership, Milpaws regularly receives updated fabrication guides for all five hose groups:
- Industrial hose
- Hydraulic hose
- Corrugated metal hose
- Composite hose
- Fluoropolymer hose
So no matter what type of hose you may be ordering, you can be sure we have both the knowledge and the knowhow to get you exactly what you need. Our membership requires that we have at least one person who has successfully passed a semi-annual Fabrication Exam for each hose assembly group that Milpaws provides.
Our membership also involves us utilizing hose tagging identification methods that are in conformance with the Hose Fabrication Guides. That helps us maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of when and what may need to be replaced to assure your hose assemblies continue to deliver optimum performance when required.
When you order a hose assembly from Milpaws, you can be assured it has been fabricated in conformance with the appropriate NAHAD Hose Assembly Fabrication Guide. We can also guarantee that your finished hose assemblies have met appropriate hydrostatic, electrical conductivity or other tests as specified in the Hose Assembly Guidelines and mandated by you, the customer.
The result? Consistency. Predictability. And of course, quality. All of these benefits ultimately affect your bottom line in a variety of ways:
- Minimize accidents resulting in harm to the environment or employees
- Minimize insurance rates
- Minimize OSHA issues
- Provide a safer workplace
- Increase worker productivity
- Increase equipment productivity (less unplanned down-time)
- Reduce reorder costs
- Satisfy your end customers
Milpaws takes our membership in the Hose Safety Institute quite seriously. We know it allows us to better serve each and every one of our customers. Now, how can we serve you?
